PRIMER for: ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System (EnMS) Implementation

Project Objective​

To assist the Client implementation of Energy Management System (EnMS) ISO 50001:2018, an international system through which savings in energy consumption and energy costs may be achieved. Client may consider to secure certification of the EnMS ISO 50001:2018.

 

Scope

The project shall cover one site or establishment of the company, with option for several sites.

 

Project Methodology and Timetable

Client has the option of choosing the phases of EnMS implementation:

Option 1 - Energy Management System (EnMS) assessment    

Gap analysis and identification of areas for implementation. (Estimated 1-2 days)

Option 2 - EnMS assessment + Phase 1 (focused on savings opportunities)

Phase 1: EnMS Implementation Assistance          (Estimated 3-4 months)

Guidance to EnMS implementation focused on energy saving opportunities

Option 3 - EnMS assessment + Phase 1 and 2

Focused on savings opportunities and ISO 50001:2018 compliant status. (Estimated 5 - 6 months)

Guidance to EnMS implementation to be ISO 50001:2018 compliant.

Option 4 - EnMS assessment + Phases 1 to 3

(focused on savings opportunities and ISO 50001:2018 certification)  (Estimated 6 - 7 months)

Assistance to attain ISO 50001:2018 certification for sustainable implementation

 

Note:

1. At the option of the Client, a Technical Analysis for Energy System Optimization of the Client Significant Energy Use by a leading industry expert may be availed in Phase 1.

2. Activities and schedules shall be flexible depending on the start-up date, and the needs of the Client Energy Team and Management during the project execution.

3. The Consultant shall turn over to the Client Energy Team a copy of the UNIDO EnMS tool pack (Excel sheet) to facilitate the development of EnMS. All supporting documents shall be compiled in an energy reference manual. This may serve as the Client Energy Manual.

 

We shall submit a detailed proposal with cost after our initial discussion of your options.
