PIEMPI is pleased to invite designated Energy Professionals, Engineers, Facility Managers, and Supervisory Staff from National Capital Region (NCR) Government Agencies to a DOE - sponsored 5-day FREE Face-to-Face Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) Training Course: "Implementing Energy Management in your Organization."

 

In compliance with the Department of Energy (DOE) Department Circular No. DC2023-05-0009, this course will provide your team with expert-led training from a DOE-Recognized Training Institution. Through this program, your designated personnel will gain the tools to establish a standardized Energy Management Program, transforming the objective of a 10% utility and fuel reduction into an achievable milestone for your agency.

 

We welcome all NCR government entities—including LGUs, GOCCs, SUCs, LUCs, NGAs, and Public Hospitals—to seize this opportunity to strengthen internal expertise and foster sustainable operations.

 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

 

This comprehensive 40-hour training program is designed to equip participants with the competencies required for regulatory compliance, energy efficiency improvement, energy monitoring, and preparation of mandatory periodic reports

• Regulatory Compliance: Navigate RA 11285 GEMP guidelines and master the GEMP online system submission process.

• Energy Management Systems: Implement ISO 50001:2018 EnMS principles tailored to your establishment.

• Energy Audits & Data Analytics: Conduct energy audits, pre-assessments, data collection, and Significant Energy Use (SEU) analysis.

• Project Formulation & Financing: Perform cost-benefit analysis (CBA), calculate payback periods/NPV/IRR for energy efficiency projects, and explore public and GFI financing options.

• Actionable Output: Formulate and present an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan (EEC Plan) for your organization.

 

PROGRAM DETAILS

Duration: 5 Days (40 Training Hours total)

Batch 1:October 19-23, 2026 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Batch 2:November 23-27, 2026 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Training Format: Face to face training, interactive workshops; handouts and templates will be accessible via Google Drive.

 

Resource Persons: Led by 2025 DOE Awardee for Outstanding Energy Efficiency Practitioner and UNIDO/DOE National Expert - Engr. Marionel Peralta (& PIEMPI President)

 

TARGET PARTICIPANTS & QUALIFICATIONS

This training is specifically open to personnel from NCR-based government offices (LGUs, GOCCs, SUCs, LUCs, NGAs, and Public Hospitals) who meet the following criteria:

 

1.With an appointment letter by the agency as an Energy Officer, Focal Person, or Coordinator (holding a Plantilla position handling operations, engineering, facilities management, or maintenance).

2.Graduate of a 4-year degree course or a licensed engineer.

3.Recommended to have at least 1 year of relevant operational experience in building energy consumption and/or vehicles management.

4.Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and access to a laptop/tablet for workshops.

5.Access to baseline energy consumption data from their respective establishment.

 

CERTIFICATION & MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

 

• Certificate of Completion: Awarded upon completing all 5-day sessions, passing the final assessment, and submitting an Energy Conservation Program.

• PIEMPI Membership: Participants who successfully complete the program will be invited to join PIEMPI and receive six months of complimentary membership.
